 Employment and Labor Law

At Cutler & Donahoe, LLP, our employment law attorneys assist both private and public employers in navigating the complexities of current employment laws. Our primary focus is preventative in nature and seeks to avoid litigation by proactively assisting our clients in complying with the various state and federal employment laws. We conduct comprehensive reviews of employee handbooks, compensation and benefit programs, and leave administration procedures. On a daily basis, our attorneys work with employers to provide advice and guidance on a wide variety of employment-related issues and concerns including disability accommodations, employee discipline and termination, and Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration.

Should a claim be filed, Cutler & Donahoe, LLP will work with our clients to develop a strong and effective defense. We represent employers before all governmental bodies charged with the enforcement of employment statutes and policies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Employers also look to us to assist them in defending actions throughout the upper midwest under state and federal laws including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

In addition to our compliance efforts, Cutler & Donahoe, LLP can assist employers and employees in drafting and reviewing employment contracts and non-compete agreements.
